ActionFunder
Website launch for community impact platform

ActionFunder’s new digital home
ActionFunder connects businesses with community projects, helping to fund initiatives that create real social impact. Their team was launching a brand-new website to better showcase their work, tell their story, and make it easier for people to get involved.
I was brought in to translate Arron Taylor-Peter’s designs into a polished, functional build, working closely with Arron and Ellie Gillespie in a highly collaborative process. The goal was to create a site that not only looked great but also delivered live, dynamic content and a seamless user experience.
One of the core challenges was integrating ActionFunder’s custom APIs to bring real-time impact data into the site. I also developed dynamic content modules for visualising custom post types, complete with filtering, featured content options, and flexible layouts that could be placed throughout the site at the admin’s discretion. Multiple forms were built and connected directly to ActionFunder’s CRM and APIs, streamlining data capture and management.
Behind the scenes, we designed a CMS that’s intuitive and editor-friendly, giving the team the flexibility to update content, control layouts, and keep the site fresh without technical bottlenecks. The result is a smooth, engaging experience for users, backed by a robust, maintainable structure for the team.
