Bristol Harbour Festival

Website refresh for a rebranded city-wide festival

A digital refresh for a bristol classic

The Bristol Harbour Festival is one of the UK’s largest free festivals, celebrating the city’s rich maritime heritage with live music, street theatre, performance art, and community events. Each summer, thousands gather across Queen Square, Millennium Square, the harbourside and Castle Park to enjoy the festivities.

Following a major rebrand, the festival needed a refreshed website that could better reflect its bold new identity and improved user experience. While working at Plaster, I led the redevelopment of the site, maintaining Webflow as the platform to ensure a smooth transition for the client team who were already familiar with the CMS.

One of the core challenges was rethinking the event scheduling system. With many stages, artists, and overlapping performances spread across multiple days and locations, the site needed a more intuitive way for users to discover what was happening and when. I developed a flexible solution within Webflow’s structure that made it easier for both audiences to navigate and the festival team to update.

The result is a vibrant, accessible and easy-to-manage website that aligns with the festival’s updated branding and provides a far more engaging experience for its diverse audience.
